Entertainment exists to distract and subdue the masses, and takes many forms.

We will look at them here through the method of consumption / delivery. E.g. streaming is like 24/7 news cycle TV.. podcasts are like radio on demand, and so on. Also divide by narrative or whatever?

They have always been delivery mechanisms for propaganda.. from the town cryer going into the town, ringing a bell and telling the peasants what 'news' the King wants them to be aware of, to today's full-spectrum 24-7 cultural engineering delivery to the entire population via the cellphones in our pockets.
